「The Rodmay Hotel has potential: it is definetely a heritage building and has some beautiful furniture but there is a lot of work to be done. It was clean and quiet but: 1. it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. 2. we couldn't shut the bathroom door. 3. the bathroom sink was very tiny with no counter space 4. the air was a bit stuffy.」

「The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the shower! Nice place to stay right near the ferry. However no screens in the windows. The minute we opened it we had about 10 flys make our room their home. Yuck Also there was no recycling.」

「We did not use any services. The booking on line led to many problems . I thought the sight offered a King bed or two Queens. I Chose the King bed but denied the offer of two Queen beds. "We’ve stayed here for one night. The receptionist is quite friendly, small terrace water front view is good however there are lots of fly at front door of room. It’s scary as we need to open/close door quickly, otherwise the fly will run into room. When I talked with the female receptionist, she said they also feel weird but nothing there to attract fly though. All we can do is using the mosquito racket to catch fly…. And if you have heavier luggage, no elevator only stairs. Besides there are many jogging trails around there, pay more attention the coffee shop closed at 3pm, restaurants are closed 4-6 pm. As there are not many food options there, if you are like us with normal stay ( no certain purpose- hiking, sailing, kayaking etc) it’s not really right place to stay. And room rate is not reasonable at Cad217/ night (smaller & economical room) and 1.5 hours to Langdale ferry terminal. "
