The lake is located between Campbell River and Gold River in the wilderness area of Strathcona Provincial Park. The lake is the source of the Campbell River.

"Staff were friendly and helpful, the history of painters was cool to see on the walls of the main building. We chose the room type because the photos online looked updated but the room we were in has not seen an update in a couple decades. Overall it was a pleasant experience. "
