「The rooms need at least an option of having more light. I get the theme for the hotel, but still - the lack of light in the room was deeply inconvenient. The most disappointing part was the pool area. When I visited in 2022, the pool setup was absolutely amazing for summer - cocktails in a very elegantly done Moroccan themed poolside. 「Rooms are a bit tired. Could be cleaner. Potential for loud wedding guests. The first 2 rooms we were shown had windows that didn’t close properly. But breakfast was good and the location is 10/10」

「Everything inside the room is comprehensive, it is clean and tidy although the room space is a bit tight.」

「We had a brief overnight stay but it was all we needed it to be. There were some local options for eating as well as in the hotel and the breakfast was nice enough. The staff were friendly when we interacted with them. The room was standard for The Holiday Inn and comfortable enough. There were plenty of car parking spaces but there is a charge for overnight parking.」

「The room was clean, the towels very good quality. The word Chef should be taken out of the title as the food was poor. No bowl of chopped fruit at breakfast. A blackberry and apple crumble was a layer of thick pastry with a thin smear of fruit, scarcely visible topped with a very solid thick layer of crumble - inedible. Parking good and the staff were pleasant and helpful」

「What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work.」

「Als je na een lange reis in de bloedhitte eindelijk aankomt bij een hotel, verwacht je op zijn minst dat je vriendelijk en met aandacht wordt ontvangen. Niet dat er ondertussen druk op de telefoon berichtjes worden getypt. Ik bedoel... wat is nu 5 minuutjes even met onverdeelde aandacht je gasten ontvangen? De kamer was bloedheet, maar daar kan niemand iets aandoen. Het tapijt is goor evenals het hoofdeind van het bed. Badkamer was prima en netjes en ruim, niets op aan te merken.」
