What we liked: Our room was great and had a nice view of Kensington Park. It was clean, modern, and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and AC was good (we were there during a heatwave). The breakfast was great and made it easy to workout, eat, and head out to sight see. The hotel is right if Kensington Park, so great for running or walking after dinner. It’s close to the tube and within walking distance of good restaurants and shops.
What we didn’t like:
There was no bellman when we arrived so we needed to lug heavy bags up steps. The woman who checked us in was odd, and asked if we wanted to upgrade our room for 700 a night b/c it was small…it wasn’t, and we were glad we didn’t upgrade. We also told her we were going to check out the gym, but we couldn’t get in because she didn’t tell us we needed special passes. The first ten minutes of our visit made us wonder if we had made ac mistake booking the place.
Overall: Would stay here again. Would recommend getting a park view…worth the up charge.
