"My family and I booked a double room for 4 nights on the ground floor. The room was spacious and clean with a coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, fireplace with a Duralog and small balcony. We appreciated the hot tub and heated pool in the evenings with the continental breakfast each morning. The location was perfect to travel to Big Sur and Monterey and the staff was amazing."

"We booked a 3 night stay in a Queen room upstairs. The decor and furnishings were nothing like as shown in the photos. Towels were stained & very old, as was the duvet cover & valance. Carpet extremely worn. Totally disappointed, we were looking forward to staying in a historic building. Wasted the best part of the afternoon unpacking then repacking to find somewhere else."

"We loved our stay at Martine Inn. It’s just a short, beautiful walk to Monterey Bay Aquarium, which made the location perfect. The property itself feels like stepping back in time, in the best way. Both the house and garden are stunning, full of charm and quiet beauty. Breakfast was such a treat, especially looking out over the ocean. We felt completely spoiled the entire time. A truly special place we’d happily return to."

"The property itself was really run down. Old carpets, unpleasant smell, room was below mid. No a/c so had to have the windows open which left zero privacy. Anyone walking by could see into the room. But the perks were it was right next to the beach, down the street from downtown and inexpensive. Parking was right in front. "

"I was very impressed with this property. Quaint cottages, very clean. The breakfast was a small grab and go, which was perfect just enough to start your day. Parking was great, the area felt completely safe. A block away from the beach, easy to get to. The staff was so nice and so helpful."
