「I would recommend this quaint little cottage to anyone who loves being in nature. It was easy to find, quick to access and the communication was fantastic prior to our visit. The cottage is the perfect size for a couple. The dog friendly home is located on a quiet street in the middle of the forest. They even supplied dog bags which was a great touch. The one "complaint" I have would be I wish there were more rugs throughout the cottage. It was rather chilly, but they do have space heaters,...

「We went to have a night out away from home and got everything we needed. It was relaxing from the moment we stepped in the door. We got a welcome drink went to our cozy room with a fireplace. We enjoyed the hot tub, park let and small gardens. The massage at the spa was great. Altogether the kind of relaxation a tired parenting couple needed. 」

「We stayed in an Airstream which is the furthest from the clubhouse, so the Internet connection is very bad. When I mentioned this to the staff, their response “sure the further you are from clubhouse, the worst your internet”. But how come they can’t make it better by putting mesh extension to improve it. We paid over $550/night for the stay and it was rainy and cold so it’s not ideal to walk to and hang at the clubhouse. For that price I’d expect basic facilities such as internet to be working...

「The Cottages on River Road is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is terrific. The rooms are smallish but very nicely furnished and comfortable. It’s lovely to relax with a cup of tea and look out at the fire in the evening. Beautiful location in the redwoods.」

「Gorgeous property, a true gem」

「It was a wonderful Christmas getaway for the two of us and our two small dogs. This was our first visit but won’t be our last. We did learn that we over packed but I guess that’s normal. Very comfortable, bed was super cozy, just had to get used to the stairs. Loved walking on the beach with the dogs. ❤️」

「Didn’t stay」

「Hotel was very comfortable, very clean and hosts were welcoming. Check-in was easy since we arrived during the specified time window. Our special request was honored. We only have one improvement suggestion. The hotel detail indicated "Breakfast Included." It did not say continental breakfast, but that is all that was available. That was a disappointment. No hot food available other than instant oatmeal packs, but a lot of bread and roll choices, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. 」

「A highly recommendable place with great atmosphere, comfortable bed, clean rooms and outstanding breakfast. Perfect for relaxing at the porch, fire place, hot tub or sauna after a long day of visiting wineries. 」

「We had a great experience with this hotel. The only thing we found a little odd was that they leave your room open and your key inside the room, which made us a little nervous as two girls arriving quite late. Otherwise the room was great, and the service was great!」

「We came in winter and we were the only one group of guest on that day. Room is not large but enough for two people. Water pressure for shower is not as good as normal hotel, which may due to their location.」
