My wife and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August. It is undoubtedly the best hotel in Sonoma County. The quality of the rooms, housekeeping, bellhops, and the spa is excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the restaurant and the front desk. In the restaurant, the excellent wines do not match the food, which is truly average. As for the front desk – this matter is more disturbing. They charged a security deposit from the card I presented at check-in, and then, during my stay, they charged another deposit without my authorization from the card I had used for the reservation a few weeks earlier. As soon as I asked why they did this, they apologized and confirmed they would refund the amount immediately. However, they only did so a month after our stay ended. So please be careful, as the hotel reception treats guests' credit cards like a buffet, using them at their own discretion.
