"Horrible hotel! We were not even given the upgraded room that we paid for, so don’t bother paying for the upgrade. You are not allowed to go on the second floor mezzanine. We avoided using the blowdryer as many have mentioned online that this creates confusion with their smoking sensors and we didn’t want to get charged for that. Really rundown rooms, yuck!! Only good thing is that it’s centrally located. Elevator & Cleaning staff were the only kind staff! "

"The hotel was very clean and all staff members were exceptional. The only complaints were that the room keys didn't work very well and we had to have them replaced twice, even though we kept the card away from our phones as instructed at check-in and the thermostat was a little tricky. However, opening the window cooled the room effectively. Concierge, housekeeping, buffet,and front desk staff were great. The lobby was very welcoming and relaxing."

"I stayed at Hilton Garden Inn in New York City; while the location is great, the service was disappointing—our deposit was charged twice and the reception staff were not helpful despite multiple follow-ups, forcing us to go through our bank with no clear resolution yet. The advertising is misleading as photos show balconies, but the building has none, and basic items like toothpaste were unavailable, plus the elevators were very slow."

"Always a nice place to stay when in NYC. Conveniently located. Lots of food options around. Walkable to theaters. Only thing missing is an ATM."

"Upon review of our room we noticed it was very dirty. Hair all over the bathroom. The shower had hair and a large amount of mold. Open soap on counter. After calling the front desk to express my concerns, they switched our room. The following morning when getting ready for our day the toilet was clogged. We requested it me plunged. We plunged it. It started spewing sewage water from the bottom back wall of the toilet. At this point I’m disgusted. I call and make them aware of the events. We used all our towels to soak up the toilet water. Maintenance person arrived liked flushed the toilet a few times and said it’s seems to be ok now. Not one time did they offer to clean the bathroom after it had sewage water all over the floor. They just brought us new towels. I called the front desk and requested a manager who wasn’t in at the time. At this point I wanted to leave this establishment all together. I requested a refund for my stay and was in the process of looking for another place to stay. I was denied a refund and offered another room transfer. This would make 3! I paid over $600 for two nights! The staff was less then concerned about anything and very nonchalant about everything. Made we wait to speak to a manager over 15 mins after I expressed we had brunch reservations for my sons birthday!! Totally disgusted with this place. "
