"Great property overall. They charge a resort fee which gives you $35 credit per day at the hotel restaurants, but the breakfast is $47 a person for mediocre offerings, and the coffee shop is not full service Starbucks. It was a waste. "

"Room was clean and staff were great. However, the heat was blasting all night. No matter what we did, it would not turn off. It was set at 28 C which is around 80 F…..Extremely hot!! We tried calling but the room phone didn’t connect and it was extremely late. "

"This was the second time we stayed at Hotel St. James within the past year. Both times there was little to no hot water. Each shower was lukewarm at best. Whether the showers were in the morning or afternoon, we’ve never had a hot shower there. "

"The absolute best location. Feels like a little hideaway for when you need to rest a bit before heading back out to explore NYC. The room, the bed, the shower all more than comfortable and clean. I can't sleep much in New York because the energy is too powerful. But I prefer this section of Times Square to the main part. Slightly more lowkey, less people, but still very much alive and colorful with tons of spots to visit. Walked right across the street to Junior's, it wasn't ever slammed, just steady. Walked like 5 minutes or less to see my show at the Winter Garden. I traveled alone and it feels like a safe place too. More than one entrance on side streets and security always posted up at the entry. CVS right there. Everything you could ever imagine right around the corner or within reasonable walking distance. "
