"Customer Service With the exception of the cleaning staff, the overall service was very poor. There was no effort to welcome or guide guests. No one explained how the hotel works, where the restaurants were, or even basic information about the property. I was given a reservation for one restaurant (Italian, which I don’t eat), and no flexibility or alternatives were offered. Navigation & Organization I was never able to properly locate the main buffet. I asked multiple staff members (at least 3–4 people), and while they all gave directions, no one was willing to walk me there. I followed the instructions and still couldn’t find it. For a hotel of this size, that level of lack of assistance is unacceptable. Excursions / Logistics I purchased an Xcaret excursion, and the hotel does not allow their buses to pick up or drop off directly. As a result, I was dropped off around 11 PM several hotels away and had to walk back alone at night. This was extremely inconvenient and concerning from a safety standpoint. Food Quality The food was below average. For example, the guacamole was clearly not fresh—it tasted like a pre-packaged product you would buy at a grocery store in the U.S., and the staff later confirmed it was from a bag, not freshly prepared. Overall, the food quality did not meet resort standards. In fact, it was comparable to what you would expect from a 1-star hotel at best.
