"Staff were all lovely! Locals also very nice, real friendly village feel in the bar. Food was good and lovely little garden to sit out the back and escape the heat!
Rooms were basic but did the job for our one night stay.
Saw some photos online before going that worried us but room and bathroom and all public spaces very clean so don’t be put off! "
"Absolutely gorgeous property — new and chic. Lovely area with nice local discounts at partner restaurant (Mara). They accommodated our early check in and were very responsive. Great place to stay, great value. "
"Executive hotel, from reception staff to the house cleaning staff, an absolute pleasure to stay in, highly recommended. Great comfortable room, and a great menu.

Excellent
Lovely wee village, especially the older parts. Now that it has its new railway station, it is so easily connected both to Edinburgh and right down to London.

A very cute little village where we have stayed before. Close to lots of activities.
"Very very comfortable room , modern and so worth the money , will definitely return, didn’t get the tv with no channels tuned , I didn’t come to watch tv, so not important, however strange "
"Brilliant staff - the lady on reception was outstanding, the room beautifully presented and and a fantastic bathroom and high quality bed. It was sincere and lovely representing Edinburgh perfectly"
"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Also the music being played was dire
. Funeral music "
"Such welcoming staff who were so helpful in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful, really tasty and lots of variety. The full Scottish breakfast was a firm favourite! The room was super clean and quiet. A lovely stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, which a quaint village feel. This has a family feel to it! Thank you, my 7 year old son would love to stay again. "
