Faultless from arrival with the friendly greeting and very helpful lady on reception, to the excellent restaurant and delicious food and friendly restaurant staff with Pete especially who we had a great laugh with. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Then checking out with Jennifer who was so helpful and friendly. We have mad a reservation for later in the year and look forward to coming back!

We stayed as a stop off as part of a longer journey. We booked two rooms, for 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 7) Staff were amazing, rooms were as expected. Views, bar and breakfast were above expectations. As a whole, the really enjoyed our brief stay.

Lovely stay in a beautiful spot. The room was immaculate, very comfy bed ands pillows with the fancy coffee machine a bonus. So quiet, could hear nobody else during the night. Breakfast was delicious and a generous portion and all the staff I spoke to very friendly and helpful. Hope to stay again

Lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you, they were really helpful and attentive. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Very nice breakfast, we stayed for evening meal too, which was also very nice. Fabulous views from our room. Everyone polite and friendly. Would highly recommend to my friends and family.

Superb value for money. Our room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day. It was great that our towels weren't replaced when we hung them up. I would highly recommend having an evening meal there as both of our choices were delicious. Great location - we went into Edinburgh three times and used the park and ride at Wallyford which is a 15 minute drive away. Stunning views from the restaurant. We shall definitely recommend The Lodge to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

Courteous and helpful staff. Particular mention for Josh who, amongst other helpful actions, provided Cullen Skink for my wife when it wasn't even on the menu! Very friendly staff all round, made us feel welcome.

Vielleicht darf man bei dem im günstigen Preis inkludierten Frühstück dann keine Ansprüche mehr stellen. Der Kaffee war lauwarm und es gab neben Cerealien, nur a la Carte. Die Auswahl hierbei ging aber in Ordnung. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, auch, weil die Lage absolut perfekt ist, wenn man Abgeschiedenheit in Ruhe bevorzugt. Schöner Golfplatz direkt angrenzend und darüber hinaus Meerblick. Tolle Zimmer zum fairen Preis, im November.

Attending wedding in area and chose to stay here for few nights. We’ve had a first class stay. Room was spacious fresh and clean. Staff went above and beyond. Both nights had dinner and again complements to the chef. Would definitely return.

Stunning

This has been my favourite find so far. The location is stunning, environment relaxing, the staff are fantastic. I have enjoyed many return visits to dine in the lovely restaurant and to stay. The children feel this is like a home from home and treat some of the staff like family.
