A top traveller’s rest inn. Located in a quaint quiet village with some nice walks and scenery. Had a clean and spacious room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Food and atmosphere in the adjoining pub was excellent as were all the staff there.

A great place to eat and stay. Portions are on the large side so bring a good appetite with you. Lovely fresh food and good ingredients, I would highly recommend it as a place to stay, the room was beautiful with a very large bed and everything you could want. We had a wonderful stay.

Whilst this hotel was lovely it says there is car parking it is actually on the street parking if your lucky enough to get a space. It is also opposite a tower çlock that goes off every hour even through the night.

Room very nice. Food good overall although only cooked breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening steak night. Downside no private parking. Staff excellent. The village is pleasant to walk round. If staying on the top floor the stairs can be a challenge as the staircase is narrow.

Staff were very friendly and the food was good. I had an evening meal when I arrived and breakfast on the 2 days I stayed. Evening meal was a burger and 2 glasses of wine that was a little expensive but was tasty and a good atmosphere in the bar where you dine. Room (Fountain Room) was not 'en suite' which was a surprise and whilst there was a 'private bathroom' across the public corridor it wasn't ideal and could imagine might cause a problem with some guests. I also had cause to pull the bed out so I could access the plug socket (there were only two in the room), and it was evident that when cleaning the room, the beds are not pulled out to hoover. Overall would consider staying there again but probably only 50:50.
