This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and I’d say there are both pros and cons.
Pros:
The common areas are generally clean, including the showers and bathrooms. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful, which I appreciated.
Cons:
If you’re a light sleeper, this place may not be for you. You can clearly hear doors opening and other guests moving around — the soundproofing is not very good. I also noticed the capsule itself had a slight unpleasant smell, possibly from poor ventilation (it reminded me of a “stuffy” or foot odor smell).
In terms of safety, I didn’t feel it was very secure, as the capsule door can apparently be opened without a key, which was a bit concerning.
Breakfast was very basic — just eggs and two small waffles, with no vegetables or fruit.
Unfortunately, I also experienced a power and water outage on the first night. Hopefully this was just bad luck - not happening a lot.
Overall:
It’s an interesting experience if you’re curious about capsule hotels, but comfort, noise, and ventilation could be improved.
