Cute and private 😁
My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for one night. We were greeted by the host and given privacy. The room has a beach side view and a private pool - literally you walk out and it’s all yours and not shared! There’s a cute dock with two swings and the view is amazing. I was so nervous because reviews were not the best and now I’m just confused as to why! This place was cute and private for one night it was great :) 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a hidden gem that’s not in the hustle and bustle of the hotel zone!

Buena ubicacion

Time of my stay it was peaceful and quiet. Was the only one there! Nice private beach.
The host Ernesto is creepy. Better not to visit as a single female traveler. He's not good at replying to texts until the last minute. He is not professional and uses this place to 'pick up' guests for his personal pleasure. Does not take 'no' for an answer and has a temper. The place is full of mosquitoes, air conditioner is not working very humid, not well maintained, far from any conveniences and only one expensive restaurant in the area. Lots of seaweed on the beach which smells. Just overall weird.
I loved Anibal... he was so accommodating anything I needed or questions I had he was right there to help me . I had asked how far it was to the ferry he jumped in the cab with me and took me there. He makes an amazing blended fruit drink in the morning. When I arrived I was in the single room there was availability for other rooms so he showed them to me I was able to upgrade to the beach front room which was amazing for a very minimal price ...Anibal Was wonderful!!!!!!

Being right on the beach was great. The mattress was terrible, the tv didn't work, and there's a near constant drone of a big diesel ferry going back and forth from nearby to the island. There's no breakfast either, just coffee, but there is a kitchen.
Nothing at all like the photos on Expedia. There isn't a sign to state where the place is, you have to guess. We waited on the street waiting for the owner to arrive a half hour late. The front of the location looked like there was a hurricane with downed palms, debris and trash. Chairs broken, the dock wasn't there.. no amenities at all. We left and booked a hotel. I took pictures of what Mayambe actually looks like! Won't recommend or go back! First vacation in 3 years and this is what I experienced, very disappointed!!
Everything was perfect. The room was clean and spacious, the beach marvelous and the host is truly nice and helpful person. If I'd come back to Cancun, I'd love to stay there again.
It started off good the guy that runs in was nice . I paid extra for breakfast and never got it he said it was juice and coffee. Then he tried to get me for 30 dollars saying that he would have to get a reservation in order for me to snorkel just to find out that wasnt true . Once he found out I did it without him I got no more conversation. Other than that and my room was infested with ants , the tv not working and the fridge not working it was a nice little set up .
So happy that I selected Mayambe for my vacation. The best location in Cancun and family like atmosphere. Safe and secure.

Basic lodging right on the beach
We had a great vacation here. Right on the beach, friendly staff.
The property could use a little updating in room decor, the kitchen and bathrooms. That said, our room had clean bedding and towels. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the water.
The location was away from the hotel zone, very peaceful and safe neighborhood. Travel to activities, stores and restaurants via collectivos was cheap and convenient.
Our stay did not include breakfast, which confused me because it was not clearly stated on the Expedia website.
If you like everything modern, in perfect repair, and smelling chemical clean, MPV might not be the place for you. If you love community (made great friends in the communal kitchen and dining area) peace, and beautiful nature that's somewhat remote, MPV is highly recommended. This is my kind of down to earth place. Ernesto, the host, was always genuine, warm, and helpful. I loved my stay there and hope to return!
The hotel has no name outside, difficult to find. It a share kitchen where thw refrigerator, coffe maker and microwave were dirty , old and filthy. The room was big with no tv , the bathromm was not working and then terrible smell from almost an open bathroom that was converted in a closet.
beach frount was awesome, beautiful and amazing, the guy was super nice and very friendly, had the room up stairs with the balcony which was beautiful! the bed squeaked a little and a little uncomfortable, but besides that, overall was a good stay

The room didnt had a shower only a zimc with a hose suposedly to showwer, advertisement was misleading had to live didnt stay there hope will be a refund
