"Lovely stay at Yufuin. There is a free pick-up and drop-off options available from JR Yufuin Station which is a must unless you want to walk up crazy hills to get to the property. The room we stayed had traditional tatami mats and plenty of space to lounge around before enjoying hot springs. This property allowed us to book a private bath free of charge, and also the public bath that is open til late which was convenient. There is also free Japanese kimono that you can wear during your stay....

We did not try the food as we wanted to explore the cuisine in the town. Great location that was walkable to many sites and the shopping district and easily accessible to transit."

"Staying here was such an enjoyable, relaxing, and special experience. The breakfast and dinner kaiseki were delicious and allowed us to try a variety of Japanese dishes. It's a lot of food so come to each meal hungry. All the staff we interacted with were kind and very helpful. The indoor and outdoor onsen was the perfect way to unwind after long days exploring the Hakone area. "I checked in half an hour earlier before official check-in. The room is in the Japanese style, huge, clean, beautiful. The hotel has 2 onsens, one on the 1-st floor and another on the 10-th floor. Both were excellent! Breakfast and dinner were amazing and very delicious! The location is very good, in the very picturesque place by the sea. The hotel has the bus shuttle to the central station, it runs every half an hour, but it is possible to walk from the central station to the hotel and it took...

"A nice stopover on way from Niseko to Sapporo. Lovely large rooms. Did not love everything from the kaiseki dinner but the beef sukiyaki was good. Booked the private cypress bath so that we could bathe as a family but i would skip this next time and head straight for the public bath on the high level - large with a view of the forest."
