"Staying at Wakka is a complete delight! The infrastructure is buikt to be part of the natural environment. The staff are a delight. The bikes for rental are top quality. The half board meal is full of varieties and locally sourced ingredients. My biggest concern was the shared shower facility, but Wakka kept everything clean and spotless. It's simply a delightful place to stay in and rejuvenate. In fact, our family is planning another glamping stay with them again. "

"The guy that looked after us, Satoshi, was really nice and very accommodating- he didn't speak english and we didnt speak Japanese but we got by. It was end of season and very quiet feeling like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was beautifully presented and ample. He met uas at the station and dropped us off as well as taking us elsewhere as and when needed. A really good experience and we would return."

"Our stay at Hoshinoya fell short of expectations. Uncomfortable beds, stuffy rooms, and inadequate lighting marred the experience. Mediocre food and unresponsive massage therapy added to the disappointment. The hotel grounds were confusingly laid out, and the lack of beach loungers and presence of washed-up plastic bottles detracted from the beach experience. "This place is a bit special. Lovely setting next to river. Staff very friendly and facilities clean. Stayed in a tree house one night. Was a great memorable experience. Used an e-bike and went around the local area, past rice fields and old shrines. One of the highlights of our trip to Japan. "

"The lodge was absolutely wonderful. We honestly had not slept as well as we did at the lodge anywhere else in Japan. Not sure if it was the mountain air, the onsen, or the large rooms that allowed us to settle in and spread out. The hospitality was incredible; the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, including by providing a bountiful breakfast each morning. My husband and I wish we could have stayed there our entire trip!"

"The lodge is run by a very friendly lady who was very accommodating. The rooms were very clean as well. Restrooms and showers are shared between rooms. There is also access to a communal microwave and refrigerator as well."

"To get to the this guest house, there is no bus or train. I have to use taxi to get there as the place is at the top of hill away from the station. There is no restaurants near this. I had to walk 20 mins to get the only convenience store for the meal."

"This is a very nice camping ground location. The name is actually called Workshop camp resort. The google maps address is wrong, continue up the road past 2 other properties. The palace cabins are basic, good size. The hot water did not work in our cabin. Pretty location in the forest."
