「The night spend at 榮和春蘭之宿 was fantastic. We spent our evening walking through the little community, the street was filled with shops and onsen, view along was amazing!! The resort itself was also very nice, the room was comfortable and cozy. People were welcoming! Also the breakfast and diner served with traditional japanese style food was perfect!」

「This is a very old building. No lift is available. The staircase is slanting and is difficult for elders to climb. Foods offered were not up to standard.」

「20mins walk to the karuizawa station, it only costs around 1000yen for a taxi ride. Dinner is a must try here, very delicious and decent traditional Japanese cuisine. Room size is okay, just the public bath is a bit too small. 」

「Great location that just next to the lake Suwa. Luckily we can enjoy the Sakura on the riverside through the window of our room. The service for breakfast and dinner is good and thanks for the recommendation of the staff, Yu, for going to see the Sakura in a castle park nearby. That’s amazing.」

「Enjoyed our one night stay here. Booked one hour private onsen and thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and waterfall scene. Also did the public onsen and enjoyed it as well. Yukata clothing and towels are provided. Excellent service and a sense of luxury even though the hotel itself is dated. Good breakfast.」

「We didn't realize that it was a ryokan. It was nice to have that style of room with tatami mats, sliding shoji screens etc. It backs onto a river which was nice.」
