Yangtze River Delta All inclusive Vacations

Please take care booking here. I had a suite and it was lovely. However when it rained ( albeit very heavy rain) leaks came in through the window and floor in two of the rooms. Not sure how safe it is. Not small water ingress, puddles of water. Staff moved me to a smaller single room which also leaked. Worrying as a lot of electrical stuff in areas of water influx! I have asked for a partial refund for the difference in room standard as I did not stay in the suite. Staff blame the rain. This is a major city, not rural China. I would book with a well know international brand

All rooms were clean when I checked in. The staff was very helpful since it was my first time to stay in a residential area in China, and had a lot of questions, ie how to open the door, how to use the washing machine, etc. The staff answered my questions within a minute.

Architecture was authentic and beautiful, all the courtyards and gardens. It all came to life after dark as well when the lights came on. Staff were very friendly and helpful

I was given a room without a Window or balcony They said it was because of Hotels.com showed you that room

We absolutely loved at stay at Chateau Star, it was more then what we expected. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helped as much as they could given language barrier, really only had 1 staff member who spoke English which was great as we weren't proficient with the translation apps immediately. Rooms were clean and we were super comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes, along with sone corner stores a short walk away. We will definitely be staying there again.

I like this Service apartment not just they are well managed, also you feel so convenient to go shopping, dining and tour around the city because of its location adjacent to one of the most beautiful shopping malls in Shanghai, (IFC) and subway system.

If you’re booking this place for an amazing room with an amazing view and a bath tub by the window you will not be disappointed. If you are booking this for the pool area, don’t get your hopes up, it feels more like a public bath house than a luxury hotel pool, similar feel with the spa. The overall hotel and rooms are nice, I just felt like they needed a deep clean and a bit of TLC, grouting etc. light switches and AC seemed to have a mind of their own and didn’t always respond to pressing the light switches. I loved staying here, but that’s my constructive criticism. It misses a few of those tick boxes that take it upto being a world class hotel. More of an Instagram hotel that looks great for the pictures
