"Hotel El Rey del Caribe is my new favorite hotel! I stayed one night and felt very sad to leave. It's the perfect oasis in the hustle and bustle of Cancun. Our room was clean with comfortable beds and linens, and very well equipped for a short or long stay, the pool was delightful as was the outdoor shower, the gardens were lush and beautiful, the complimentary breakfast was decent and appreciated, and the service was good! I truly wouldn't change a thing, and I hope this thoughtfully designed hotel stays the same for a very long time to come. I can't wait to return! There are many coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance and the proximity to the ADO bus station is very handy. It's a relatively quick ride to the airport as well, about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. 10 out of 10!"

"Located very close to the downtown bus station. We didn't have a car but I did notice a parking lot out the back. The only take away is that there was a night club across a side street and it was noisy at night.. and no pool."

"I spend one night , it’s ok for a night or so … room very small not windows , no view nowhere, just like a hole in the wall …. Nice hole for one night …. "

"This place was AMAZING. For what you pay, you really get yo enjoy so much. The pool was clean and we enjoyed it. My daughter also enjoyed the water park area very much, when kt was off they even turned it on and left it on later for her. The room was quiet and clean, warm water also. Great location for those bussing, right by a great square and great food. We would recommend!"

"The staff were very friendly and made my stay very welcome. They were very quick to assist me with nay enquiries I needed. The pool was always clean and pleasant for an enjoyable swim. Bad experience with breakfast on my last day(22nd). Very busy at breakfast and just one staff on duty! Cold toast, and milk for my coffee. Then after waiting 40 minutes to have my order taken I just left the premise. "

"My first impression was not good as I was just about arriving to the property, there was loud music right beside the main door. As I went inside there was even more loud music as if there was a night club upstairs. The room in general was allright and was able to get good sleep in a comfy bed once the music stopped, although it wouldn't be a place I would comeback to as it was a self check in and no front desk or staff to help out if any problem arised, like when I asked for a normal favor to leave my luggage for a few hours while I attended an event and they wanted to charge me $50 pesos an hour for a service most hotels would offer for free as they had to bring someone over just for that."

"Honestly would have been 4 stars but one day I came back from a day out and the housekeeping staff had entered the room, not cleaned anything and left the door UNLOCKED AND OPEN. I'm lucky nothing was taken but I cannot look past this glaring security issue. Especially as the safe didn't work due to no batteries inside it! Other than that, the reception staff were super friendly and helpful. It's a budget hotel and mostly met my needs for the few days I stayed. Could do with some fresh paint and minor maintenance, as the air conditioning unit leaked on the floor. "
