「The area may not be a safe place bcos my car was stolen within the hotel parking area during my stay. Never happened to me for the +40 driving years! Guests need to pay more attention on their belongings. Despite this, the front desk staff are kind and very helpful by providing the CCTV videos and reporting the case to the LAPD. Its good that I bought the Full compensation insurance.」

「I like the location, easy walk to port, restaurants, museums. This hotel is poorly run/maintained. I could feel the springs in the mattress (plus a dip) on my side. No iron or ironing board in the room. I had to ask reception for one. No blow dryer in room. The chest drawer would not stay closed. I had to prop with a napkin. No coffee maker. 「We stayed in 3 bed - unit. Great location, super clean. Only caveat / sliding barn door on the bathroom- didn’t quite cut it. The door wasn’t wide enough so there were small gaps - it didn’t actually provide “privacy” in the privy.」

「I had something happen and needed an emergency place to spend the night, not at all prepared. Only the clothes on my back. Just wanted to shower and sleep. Only 2 mini bars of soap.」

「The hotel is next to a very busy intersection and was very loud especially at very early hours of morning. The a/c is located right in front of beds which is inconvenient, since you will freeze too quickly but if you turn it off it gets too stuffy. The room we got had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away even with door and window open. I did advise the front desk person and he provided me with some air freshener. Beds seem comfy」

The owner offered a “better room” on the second floor, which I accepted due to exhaustion after my 7-hour drive.
