「The area may not be a safe place bcos my car was stolen within the hotel parking area during my stay. Never happened to me for the +40 driving years! Guests need to pay more attention on their belongings. Despite this, the front desk staff are kind and very helpful by providing the CCTV videos and reporting the case to the LAPD. Its good that I bought the Full compensation insurance.」

「I was warned that this hotel wasn't in the best area, but I thought, "how bad can it be...it's a Double Tree". It was definitely an adventure getting there, but upon arrival, the outside and entrance of the property seemed clean and just like any other Double Tree...if not a little older. 「The hot tub was old aand we only had 1 towel. No washcloth just 1 towel for 2 people.」

「The hotel is next to a very busy intersection and was very loud especially at very early hours of morning. The a/c is located right in front of beds which is inconvenient, since you will freeze too quickly but if you turn it off it gets too stuffy. The room we got had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away even with door and window open. I did advise the front desk person and he provided me with some air freshener. Beds seem comfy」

「We put my son up for the weekend there, so I wasn't the one using the room. It was fine great location in downtown Long Beach, near to the beach and groceries. I didn't like arriving with people smoking joints in the parking lot in their cars. I appreciate the no smoking policy, however. Would be nice to have a designated area outside, away from view--just wishful thinking.」
