「The parking isn’t ample, you’re on a residential street and depending on which day you park, if you get a spot, you’ll get a parking ticket. The area isn’t very nice, the room was awful. It was small and dirty with no amenities. There was no water pressure so having a shower was arduous and you’re woken up every morning either by the manager screaming down the corridor at ‘Miguel’ or by the people in the houses either side screaming at each other. 「The area may not be a safe place bcos my car was stolen within the hotel parking area during my stay. Never happened to me for the +40 driving years! Guests need to pay more attention on their belongings. Despite this, the front desk staff are kind and very helpful by providing the CCTV videos and reporting the case to the LAPD. Its good that I bought the Full compensation insurance.」

The owner offered a “better room” on the second floor, which I accepted due to exhaustion after my 7-hour drive. The second room seemed renovated but felt cramped, with the beds separated awkwardly, leaving little space to access one side. 「Hotel staff were wonderful! Left our passports in the room and staff kept them safe til we were able to come back and retrieve them. Restaurant by hotel was excellent. Popular spot for locals too. Only downside were the floors were a little dirty. Wear slippers! Parking was just fine. 」
