"A lovely vintage motel located in the heart of Long Beach with a very welcoming vibe. All the rooms center around a small outdoor pool and patio area. There's a nice onsite restaurant with a walk up bar serving good cocktails. Very nice and quiet, even in the city. We were happy that our window opened to enjoy the fresh CA air. The wifi was not great, but we were told they were switching providers. Cute welcome amenities, with a little snack, waters & there is in-room coffee/tea. Be aware this a rather low service facility - the front desk is not staffed 24/7, but there is a very safe feeling key code for the exterior entrance & for your room. Also, we didn't receive any housekeeping services, even though we stayed 5 days/4 nights. There are self-serve items in the hotel lobby - towels, toiletries, cofee, etc. Friendly staff! We would definitely stay here again!"

"Easy check in/check out. Bring cash for water bottle/vending machine and for parking. Parking is down the street (a block and half) and the area is a bit sketchy at night. So make sure you have a friend to walk back and forth to the car. Beds super comfortable. Bathroom great. All clean. "

"After reading the reviews, we were not sure what we would get. Some good, some bad. We took a chance since all the hotels in the area were booked for the race weekend. The facility was older, but clean. The parking lot was well lit. The room was clean with some upgrades. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but a nice thick memory foam. Clean lines and towels. The blow drier was in dire need or replacing... the guard on the back was gone, so hair can get sucked in! Having the breakfast diner next door was a nice bonus since the hotel does not offer any breakfast. "

"The young woman at check-in was very condescending and not pleasant. I hope it was just a bad day for her. Another staff member was cussing at another and threw glass and paperwork on the floor. It was not a pleasant check in experience. I’ve been a member of Marriott for several years and have NEVER had an experience like this and it make me re-think continuing my membership!"
