"We booked 4 nights, and at check-in, we walked out of a downpour & into the Tokyo’s saddest escape room. Door opens, bam. Full-on “someone peed the bed and let it marinate” stench. Not a gentle whiff. This was the aggressive variety. The AC was dead, naturally, so the humid little sauna just kept slow-cooking that aroma. The wallpaper peeled and there were kick marks on the wall. And there on the carpet? One fat, solitary toenail clipping. Classy. I never complain, but I went back downstairs. The Indian gentleman followed me up, took one long sniff, and declared everything “fine.” We stared at each other. It was then I realized we were on our own. No one was coming to save us. My wife asked for an extra sheet so she could at least sleep on the couch instead of the bed. Denied. That, we were informed, would incur a third guest charge, of course. Nothing says luxury like paying more to avoid the bed you’ve already paid for. We asked for a refund. No. Then for a different room. Manager said they were full,which seemed aspirational at best and suggested we check out at 11 the following day, & maybe swing back at 3:00 to see if anything “opened up.” A move carefully lifted from the Ritz-Carlton playbook. Without a functioning AC, we had to sleep with the open window. From below we listened to the dulcet tones of drinking, singing and finally at 5 am, construction. We lasted one night. Uninhabitable. We ate the cost of the remaining three, and ran. I suggest you do the same."

"This hotel was perfectly located within a five minute walk from Shinjuku station right in the heart of the Kabukicho area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the amenities on the first floor of the building were perfect. Very bustling area but rooms were quiet so you couldn’t tell . The shower was one of my favorite parts as well. Very nice overall"

"We had a terrible time doing business with the staff. Our flight arrived early then they’re checking is at three in the afternoon. They didn’t accommodate us not one bit. It was all about money. We didn’t even get water for sitting very difficult to charge our phone. I wouldn’t advise this hotel to anybody. I know they were very unsympathetic to our needs once again. It was all about money in this hotel. The rooms were like in a closet. The bed was the biggest part of the room I couldn’t even go to the bathroom standing up was difficult every inch of that hotel is all about money. I had a terrible experience. I will never go back there again."
