"We stayed here for a girls trip. It was a good location as it was away from the noises of the FQ but also close to other areas in New Orleans. The positives: ▪︎ location ▪︎ spacious suites and bathroom ▪︎ comfy beds ▪︎ continental breakfast was plentiful ▪︎ bar area is nice but underutilized The challenges: ▪︎ misleading / outdated signs (ice is only on 1st and 6th floor even though sign shows on other floors - leads to a brick wall) ▪︎ housekeeping not done daily even though they provide a 'do not disturb' sign - needed trash removal and fresh towels atleast ▪︎ poor communication- front desk and hotel staff - only given 1 roll of TP, since no housekeeping called for more and eventually had to go downstairs after an hour wait - needed trash removal, since no housekeeping and only 1 trashcan for the suite; had to eventually go downstairs for them to have someone come remove trash; call over 2 hours, desk visit 15 min - needed fresh towels, eventually went to front desk and asked about housekeeping since no new towels; asked to have someone come while we were out later that day; within 20 min someone came by but no cart nor supplies; asked them to come back in 30 min as we would be gone. "

"This is the only place anyone needs to stay while in NOLA. The Ritz may be nicer by some estimation but it's too modern and more expensive. The Monteleone is warm and traditional. Frank Sinatra loved it. And if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. "

"This outstanding hotel checked all the boxes. Our entire experience was simply excellent. From the welcoming valet (Fahren) who made an extra trip to my car to retrieve my charger, to James the bellhop who knows just what to say to calm travel nerves, to Navaja at the front desk who took care of our every need. I know I have butchered their names but I couldn’t ignore their outstanding performances. This hotel is a great hotel not just because of the architecture and history but the staff makes ALL the difference!!! The pool was beautiful and welcoming. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The building is old so there are plumbing issues but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Our room was surprisingly quiet for the French Quarter especially when you factor in the close proximity to Burbon street. If you’re wondering if you should choose this hotel don’t hesitate and book it!!!"
