The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower

"Staff at the front desk was friendly. Room : The bed wasn't very comfortable, old and lumpy pillows. Pool : Closes at 6pm during the week then on Friday we tried to access the pool on level 8, there weren't any pool hours displayed. Found out later it didn't open until 10. Pool hours should be displayed. Dissapointing walking all through the hotel to find out its closed. Restaurant: We tried the VLounge for a late night bite. Sat at a table no one came, so we stood by the bar to get some help the server Harry walked by us multiple times ignoring us. Then a female server appeared, we had to get her attention. After we asked for change her demeanor changed towards us and then she starting avoiding the area we were. Very terrible service. If the only way to get served late night is if you sit at the bar then display that instead of making your guests have to flag down someone for attention because we chose to sit at a table. The food was good atleast but the service should've been better. Location : if you plan to do more things on the Strip don't stay here. Alot of Uber rides back and forth. Alot quieter than other resort, if you want more of a lively party scene you won't find that here."

"To quote my husband, "this was the worst hotel experience I've ever had". They were undergoing renovations which always makes things hard and chaotic, and staff did try to be helpful and patient. The elevators broke down during our check in and, after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to help (many staff walked by and saw the crowd of people waiting at the elevator, and who knows if any of them reported it to someone), one of the patrons waiting in line finally went and got help. At this point, someone brought us to the service elevator and took us to our floors in batches. We accidentally got off on the wrong floor (when checking in, it was not explained to us that the 2 at the beginning of the number was referring to tower 2). Thus, we got off on floor 23 when we should have gotten off on 32. The elevators are still not working, though we waited on floor 23 for another 5 minutes. The phone in the elevator area was also not working. Our poor 8 year old granddaughter was trying her best to be patient after a 6 hour drive. The doors to the service elevator were locked. We ended up having to climb 9 flights of stairs carrying all of our luggage. One of us had to do it twice in order to get everything up. After this adventure, the elevators were still not working, so the pool we had promised our granddaughter was not an option Not to mention, we had a shower that didn't work and horrible smells coming from the sinks."
