This is the worst 5-star all-inclusive experience our family had during christmas. We did not have hot shower for three nights and the room has been freezing cold. We informed the hotel the first night and they kept sending maintenance people without fixing it. And whats worse, they did not really care about our problems. Everytime I called them, I need to explain the situation again. And what I got is 'we will send someone to fix' ' the hotel is fully booked so not possible to change the room' or 'this is the general problem'. The daily activities and restaurants are good but I think the room itself is the basic of which the problem and technicians visits, really bother our holiday mood.

L'hôtel est grandiose et vaut le coup. À améliorer : Il faut interdire de pouvoir laisser la serviette de bain pour bloquer les transats à la piscine ou à la plage. Il faut avoir au moins une piscine où la musique est interdite. Quand ce n'est pas l'hôtel qui met la musique à fond, c'est les clients avec leur enceinte bluetooth, même à la plage. Il faut changer la porte d'entrée des chambres. On entend trop le bruit des gens qui parlent très fort dans le couloir. On entend le bruit de la climatisation aussi qui ne s'arrête jamais. Le prix de l'hôtel a drastiquement augmenté. Le prix a doublé en 6 ans. Alors que les prestations sont les mêmes. Points positifs :

The resort was very nice overall, big layout, lots of amenities, lots of pools, nature and having the excursions nearby definitely made it a good enough stay. Staff I feel like there was a handful of nice ones. However, at the front desk we were disappointed with the initial service as it felt like they were just rushing us. However they did accommodate to our request the very next day and resolved the issue and that was much appreciated. One staff did make our trip 100x better, Sergio Alcantara himself was 5/5 star rating. He helped us with anything and everything we needed and was quick with it too. He was always super nice & friendly, welcoming and very positive whenever he saw us, would give us recommendations, guide us if needed and just overall was doing above and beyond for us. The food however could use improvements or hygienic problems, 3/6 guests that I brought had food poisoning.

Check in was poor, no information was given as to locations of anything. Unable to reserve for dinner as it was necessary to do so earlier when we were not even there, no QR code available- you had to go to the lobby to do it and there was no clear direction again. the following day we went at 10:30 AM to reserve as the buffet food was horrible! They said “sorry, nothing available for tonight you have to do it a day earlier”. Really? It’s a very large place that clearly cannot accommodate the number of people In the multiple buildings they have. Service was poor everywhere. They gave us a double bed by accident instead of a King— and found out that someone was looking for a double bed in our building while we were looking for a King. Hardly any protein was offered at the buffet. There was an omelette line for all— took forever. We did like the views, the walkways (when they were lit) the first night, they were not lit, and as a reminder there were animas like monkeys, deer and others that walked freely. it’s got a bit of a jungle feel which was cool. There’s a beautiful water in the lobby center, which you can take to get to the Xcaret Park entrance or conveniently walk! Beautiful colored building for a Venice feel. Small beach area was nice, but again very small for the number of guest they accommodate. Did not go to Spa as my trip was only 2 nights and 3 days. We did enjoy the venue but not so much the staff or the food or the cold room and floors on arrival.

We've been here 4 times in the last 15 years. We keep coming back for the unique natural grounds, the wildlife, the monkeys, the Mayan ruins and the breathtaking rocky coastline. We spend days at Xcaret, floating in the rivers, exploring the park or sitting at the beach. With the park connected, we never leave the resort. It's the most relaxing, stress free vacation. Staff is amazing, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The rooms and common spaces are getting shabby and outdated, but still pleasant and comfortable. The only reason I can't give a 5 star review is because the food has continued to decline the last 3 stays. The quality is poor, food is often cold, and it is so evident left over food from the day before is integrated into the buffet. Selections have become more limited. This year there wasn't even guacamole at the snack shack. Luckily we're not super picky and can find a few things we like and stick with it for the week. I had lots of salad and grilled fish. It's so disappointing because the first year we stayed, the food was so good! So fresh, and flavorful. Cooking stations were staffed and serving made to order. The buffet was decorated every night with beautiful fruit sculptures. It was such a cool vibe. It's sad to see how poor things have become. We know when we come here, it's a budget vacation and we can accept the flaws for all the wonderful things we can enjoy. But for the future of this resort, I hope they invest in updates and upgrade the food.
