The staff members are exceptionally friendly and helpful - and genuinely so, so it was a pleasure to deal with them at all times. The dorm beds are like capsule rooms which was fantastic as there was room to have some of your stuff in your sleeping space with you - in other hostels you are constantly in and out of your backpack / suitcase as there's nowhere to store things. The free toiletries provided were very good and we were given two towels to use, free of charge for the duration of our stay (six nights).
Unfortunately we had reason to complain about some of the other guests in our dorm one night which was obviously not the fault of the hotel. However, the offending guests were as quiet as mice the following night, so I believe our complaint was acted upon by the hotel staff and we really appreciated that.
If you're looking for reasonably priced shared accommodation in Osaka, I would say that Senba Hostel is excellent value.
