「Walk across the street to the public beach access. Next to an ice cream parlor. Nice place for people wanting an old school hotel and not the holiday in express. Good parking. Enjoyed the trip back in time. 」

「We had a nice view of the ocean, hotel has private access to beach, the staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was nice and quiet (we stayed in January), breakfast was better than most, the shower was great (water pressure and heat), kitchen was fully functional if we had wanted to make our own meals.」

「I had a room on the 2nd floor in the tower, king size bed with a dune view. However, this particular room was on the very end and seemed much larger than the one I stayed in the weekend before this day. It had an extra window on the side of the room overlooking the walkway and gazebo, and from my balcony, I had a great view of the ocean without paying ocean price. Definitely a bonus..... Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. The only critiques for me to comment on...

「I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...
