「Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden. Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning).」

There was no bottled water as stated either. The room was also very hot and they do not provide fans as standard. 「The room was too small, couldn't get round the bed without banging your foot. Also nowhere to put your suitcase other than the bed to empty it. You couldn't sit on the loo without banging your knees on the shower cubicle」

Unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed in room (207) as the window would not close and the room faces onto the busy main road which is very noisy. Also the TV was broken so had no choice but to listen to the boy racers and motorbikes outside instead. Just unlucky it was the last double room available.
