「My husband, daughter, and I had a very nice stay here. The hotel was clean, and the pool and fitness room were nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to Country Club Plaza, which is a nice area for shopping/dining and access to transit.」

「This is a one-time grand hotel that has aged not-that-well. The outer facade is in desperate need of a makeover, or at least a paint job.. The hotel seems understaffed (I had to leave a message with room service) and the restaurant workers tried their best but seemed overwhelmed by the volume (and it wasn't even nearly at capacity). The location is unbeatable but it would behoove them to do a serious rehab….」

「The first room did not appear to be completly clean and was not in great shape as the floor was damaged, the deadbolt was stuck open so the door wouldn't shut, and it needed a fresh coat of paint etc. I alerted the staff and was immediately moved to a room on the second level that was the same room but in much better shape. This process was relatively painless, and the rest of the stay was very positive. The hotel is in a good location and close to a lot of bars and restaurants, all walkable. I...

「It was the only reasonably priced room I found in KC for the weekend. Property was very nice and the staff were so nice and friendly. The streetcar on that street is very convenient to get to several things. The breakfast was a little lackluster and no ice bucket and cups in the room but they seem to have just updated so maybe that hasn’t been taken care of yet. I would gladly return for another visit.」

「It looked pretty new and the room was big and clean. There were always snacks in the lobby area which was nice. There was a small box of Christopher Elbow chocolate in the room as a welcoming gift and we enjoyed it. 」
