"Great stay, really happy with the room and the location, the price was really reasonable for our stay and the staff were helpful. I would suggest a bathroom update for the room would make the stay more comfortable and modern, but would stay here again if I come to Newcastle again in the near future. Thanks!"

"Staff were all very nice, room was nice and big. Clean, breakfast was nice but couldve been a bit hotter. Pillows were like slabs of concrete. But we had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Good access to town and quey side. It was not free breakfast as indicated on survey, we had to pay £12 each if booked the previous day, which we did. Party of 4 people."

"The room was excellent, bed was so comfortable that we slept in on our 1st night, leaving only 1 and a half hours to get ready for a wedding we were going to. The bathroom was lovely, a large shower with rainfall head. Very deep bath that we used on 2nd day. A great menu and restaurants to choose from. The bar was so welcoming with a great whiskey selection for myself and cocktail selection my partner loved. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our stay Matfen Hall was excellent and I highly recommend. We didn’t use the spa facilities this time but definitely will on our return. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay a pleasure "
