The Shoal La Jolla Beach
8/10 Good
"The parking lot was too small for all the guests. No free breakfast. Walls are thin. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Thankfully inside is renovated. Outside reminded me of what was probably a cheap hotel back in the day. Overall decent place, but if you want a better clientele, pay a little more and stay somewhere else. Bugs also can get under the doors because too big of a gap!!"

"A truly excellent property and staff. Meal at Mustang last night was the best I've had anywhere in the past year. Rooms are up to date, spotless and nicely decorated. Can't say enough good things about this place, the staff and the food. Light years better than our stay at the Coronado Inn earlier this week. Will come back."

"Was a good value considering the location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Just be warned that the “city view” rooms open out to the street and are noisy and offer no privacy. I would not suggest staying in a city view room."
