"This hotel is under construction and will be for most of 2026. This was not made clear until after I made the reservation. We were able to upgrade to an ocean view but it was clear our room hadn’t been used for a while. The bathroom light didn’t work and one of the floor lamps needed a lightbulb. Our room was near the meeting room and the empty water bottles were stacked outside the room for nearly two days. I wouldn’t call this an upgrade but it was a nice room otherwise. "

"Was so close to the beach and a nice walk witht the kids, did go when they were doing construction so cohldnt enjoy the pool but thats ok the beach is always fun..will ne going once its all done"

"The firepit was one amenity we were looking forward to using, just sitting outside at night and recapping our day, but it was broken during our stay."

"We had a room on the tenth floor with a balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean! Very spacious room! Really loved the location of this hotel: Walking distance to La Jolla Village and the beach! Staff was excellent and very friendly! "

"The room was clean but mixed with some things new and other things old. Never had hot water for the shower however the shower was large. Our view was awesome loved watching all the sailboats, skiers, row boats, kayaks etc. We even seen a purpose. People with dogs let them poo without picking up not nice when it's in front of your room. "
