「Central place, helpfull staf」

「Check in was a bit challenging as they weren't responding to messages so we waited outside in the heat until another guest let us in. Reception & breakfast is on the 3rd floor (no elevator). We booked a room titled "City View" but it was a view of a laneway & an old run down building. Room was very small. 「Riva’s Hotel was overall a very pleasant experience. Staff was helpful and friendly and the location was close to the waterfront. The rooftop restaurant had a beautiful view and good food. Loved walking everywhere within 15-20 minutes to shop, eat and sightseeing. Our room was comfortable and nice, although there were items that needed repair and maintenance. Overall, I recommend this boutique hotel.」

「Great small hotel in a good location, comfortable room. Only issue was that I could hear the people walking around in the room above me quite a lot through the floors. They weren't being loud or anything, just the nature of the building I think. Something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.」
