"First, there was a $250 deposit, which was more than expected for a 2 night stay. It was returned within 48 hours of checkout. The staff was nice. The room had cheap wicker furniture and beds were more like cots. The upstairs room we were in had a huge roof slant and had to duck to use the bathroom and sleep with my head towards the headboard to fit. "We had a great time at the Sand Castle Resort. The location was the most important part it put us right at the pier and walking distance to great places we could afford like Dairy Queen etc. the restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing we had an excellent time. I know from past experience that it always rains on my birthday so the location was important we never got caught in the storm and were able to go out and have fun regardless of the weather."

"There is so much to say about the place, good and bad. The good- close to beach, walking distance to stores and some good places to eat and drink,some of the staff are nice the pool was clean, the gym was in good condition,the lobby has a great coffee machine. The room are good but not great the bed was low and a bit hard for ME, the bathroom was clean, the kitchen and living area had everything you needed (almost) The bad the hotel is also a time share place so the parking lot in front is for them,you park across the street which is fine but could use more lighting it is creepy at night. The jacuzzi was nice but the 2 times I used it, there was like an oily films always floating on top, The room again nice but not the best the bathroom had a shower curtain rod looked like it was ready to fall,there was no toiletpaper when I walked in, the kitchen pots and pans were all bent and damaged,but I blame the people not hotel. The sofa bed was dirty and some strains that I had to use a towel to sit on.All in all a good place to stay but can do better."

"I loved the ocean view and being able to keep the slider cracked at night and hearing the ocean. The balcony was great. The hotel pool was awesome and all the floats were great for my daughter. The bartender MJ was super friendly and love how they give out a poker chip for a free drink upon arrival. We will definitely stay again. Not to mention a cool addition of the slide inside the hotel."
