"Was pleasantly surprised by this Red Roof Inn. Breakfast was fine for my family. Kids were happy. Sausage, eggs, bread, bagels, fruit and two waffle makers. Breakfast never ran out because they were always restocking and cleaning the whole time. Two huge smart tv’s in the room. Hot water, hangers and always parking. We always parked outside of the parking garage. The spots in the garage were too small for our Chevy Tahoe. Great location to everything. Great size rooms, comfy beds. Happy family!"

"We cannot praise this establishment enough for the amazing customer service we received! Upon arrival we asked if we could have an early check in, I knew it was after Labor Day and things may be slower, so I figured I’d ask. Lydia at the front desk was so accommodating, she reassured me my request can definitely be met. So she gave me our parking pass around 11:30am and told us she would call us as soon as a room was available. We got a call around 1:00pm that the room was available & once I went to retrieve the hotel key card Lydia informed me she helped me sign up for the Holiday Inn rewards system and our early check in fee was waved, along with late check out now that we are members. There was a second wonderful staff member I want to shout out but I can’t remember her name, there was a lot of staff with the letter “L” as their first name. But honestly ALL the staff from front desk, to waitresses at Hemingway’s, and housekeepers, were so polite and always smiling. Very helpful and genuine. Our room was clean, ocean view was great, location is amazing, food at Hemingways was good, very family friendly! I’ve stayed at the other Holiday Inn location not far from this one in VA beach, and both are amazing. This one stands out with exceptional customer service! Beach was right out the back door, with outside shower to rinse off. The only thing I think could be worked on is the smell of the bathroom in our room (610) This is the hotel we will now use every visit to VA beach!! 🙏"

"We had such a great stay at the Moxy! The whole hotel has such a fun, upbeat vibe, and the entertainment downstairs made it feel like there was always something going on. The location is amazing — right on the beach with beautiful beachfront access. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff was absolutely wonderful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Virginia Beach!"

"The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. The beach view was great. Our dislike was walking from the hotel parking down a slanted driveway to the main sidewalk before you got to the beach. Once you got down to the sidewalk it was about 300 feet to the beach. The tub did not have safety bars. One bed collapsed because the footings came apart. The other bed 's mattress was too soft. Management offered another room we declined. This hotel has no breakfast or coffee which is important so that you don't have to go outside for breakfast."

"We booked this for Labor Day weekend. The price was quite high since it was a holiday weekend. The staff is excellent, super friendly and helpful. Parking is great, right out front. The location is quiet and calm, backside is a lake and it looks nice. It is close to the beach, only a few blocks away and restaurants are nearby as well. The room was ok. It was not dirty but could’ve used some detailed cleaning, meaning, the bathroom shower curtain needs a wash, there was some mold starting at the bottom. The faucets are reversed cold and hot even tho indicated cold on the right and hot on the left. The shower water pressure is very low, barely enough to wash my hair. The sheets and towels were clean, that’s a plus and so were the floors. The wall however had mold on it, that should be cleaned for sure. The room was spacious and there was enough space to park our bicycles inside. The pool was nice and clean, not super big but enough for a nice afternoon swim."

"The ice machine didn’t work on our floor or the other 2 floors that we checked so I just assumed they all didn’t work. We checked in on Friday and our AC unit wasn’t working. They couldn’t get the unit to work until Saturday late evening. Saturday weather was hot but our room felt hotter than outside. I understand the reasoning of the pool hours, adults only the first and last 2 hours of operation, but wished it wasn’t so as my kids looked forward to swimming. Other than the listing above, stay was nice. It was close and convenient within walking distance to the beach and to their event area. That was definitely a treat!"
