"This year was our 7th time in hotel… so obviously its a great place for us but this time when we went book the expensive suites in the lower level… very disappointed with appliances it worked but for the extra $600 you expect different than efficiency rooms. Sofabed? Its a hard wire and a cloth had put pillows to my ribs. Please updates those. we still hope to see you again."

"Really surprised me because the price made me think it wouldn’t be nice. The hotel is truly no frills, but we didn’t need fancy for the 6 days we were there. We just wanted a decent place to stay with a view and access to the boardwalk and water, and close to a lot of walkable places. The guys at the desk were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only hiccup was one night when they ran out of parking. But they just opened their overflow lot next to it that night and showed us where to park. They don’t offer breakfast like other hotels, but we don’t eat breakfast anyway. We enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back next trip."

"When we visit Virginia Beach, we always stay with Doubletree. First, it's Hilton property, so you feel confident the accommodations will be on point. Also, it's ocean front. There's an on-site restaurant and others close by if you prefer to expand your taste. There's even food delivery, so you don't have to go out to eat. There's a trolley stop just feet from the door, so you don't even have to drive everywhere. Now for the cons. This stay was a tad different, not Doubletree's fault though. The International Sandsculpting Championship is being held in Virginia Beach and the very large tent used for the competition was right in the back of the hotel. Though it wasn't preventing beach goers from enjoying the beach, it was an unexpected sight to look out and have that huge tent in our view too. But, we could still see the ocean and that's one of our reasons for being in Virginia Beach anyway. You also have to prepare your mind that there may be bands playing close by, like below your balcony. Which is great if their style of music fits your taste."
