The hotel was nice and the staff was great. This location however runs out of cookies early in the day. I never stayed at a doubletree before but was told about the cookies. Im a huge chocolate chip cookie fan so i booked this hotel and i didnt even get cookies. Pretty disappointing actually.

No coffee put out until 7am. I wake up at 4:30. No free breakfast of any kind. Even hotel 8 keeps coffee out earlier than 7am. Only a partial renovation to the rooms; the old scratched up bathtub was a remnant of the older hotel.

The Doubletree is our go to hotel when traveling and the Doubletree is Virginia Beach is great. We have two suggestions… 1) offer the customer a paper copy of their invoice so they could check the charges before leaving the hotel. 2) clean up the parking garage. No one wants to walk by discarded furniture, appliances etc in the stairwell to retrieve their car.
