"had a beach view looking over Mc Donalds. but the bad part was the whole bottom floor where check in was, was under construction and we were not told. had to walk next door for brk and it was packed due to serving both hotels. no where to sit. floors in the room were filthy. kids and i had black feet. guest staff was very friendly though. "This property has changed over the last couple of years that we have been staying there. The room is not as clean, the refrigerator is run down looks like teenagers have caused the damage. Breakfast has totally changed, now serving frozen eggs, no meat, no potatoes, could not even call it a continental breakfast. It by far was the worst ever and we will be thinking about this the next time we are staying in Galveston. This stay was just very disappointing not up to the standards that LaQuinta by Wyndham is famous for "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, and everything was spotless from the lobby to the rooms. You can really tell they take pride in keeping the place clean and well-maintained. One of my favorite parts was the pool area, it’s beautiful and such a relaxing spot to spend time. The atmosphere is perfect whether you want to lounge in the sun or take a refreshing swim. The drinks were also fantastic, delicious, well-made, and a great complement to the overall experience. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful place to relax and enjoy their time. "

"March 2026, Rm. 556: For the target audience (cruise groups and spring breakers) of this hotel, I have no complaints. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and we had an excellent location on the boardwalk. My only things to note are: 1. The road noise is pretty loud inside the room. 2. The rooms are on the smaller side, but again this is fine for the target audience. 3. The A/C swung wildly in it's effort to cool the room. Basically, at night we turned it down to 66 to keep it from going above 70. 4. There are only two elevators, so it can get pretty slow, especially during breakfast time. Overall, I would stay here again given the price, location, and view. "
