Our room had an unpleasant smell. But the property was clean. My issue is that I was charged double. One person could not figure it out and referred me to the manger, that was not there. It was finally fixed and refunded. However, 2 days after check out i received another charge for a nights stay. I was told it will be refunded but it is still an inconvenience for this to happen after check out.

The address given does not take you to the property. I ended up in an abandonded donut store parking lot and it said I had arrived. It took 3 tries before I finally figured out where to go and an extra 20 minutes.

This property has changed over the last couple of years that we have been staying there. The room is not as clean, the refrigerator is run down looks like teenagers have caused the damage. Breakfast has totally changed, now serving frozen eggs, no meat, no potatoes, could not even call it a continental breakfast. It by far was the worst ever and we will be thinking about this the next time we are staying in Galveston. This stay was just very disappointing not up to the standards that LaQuinta by Wyndham is famous for

Mold! We stayed on the 4th floor and the second the doors opened on the elevator we could smell mold! Once we got in our room the smell wasn't as strong as the hallway. The room appeared to have been painted recently. They painted over light switches and on the baseboards. You could also see in the bathroom where they stopped painting about two feet from the ceiling. There was also a crack in the floor between the two beds. The room appeared clean however the AC was off in our room when we arrived so the air was a bit stale. Several slammed doors after midnight. And the man who checked us in was not very friendly. Overall dissappointed in our stay and thankful it was only for one night.
