"I was disappointed the breakfast did not include eggs, bacon and potatoes. The second elevator did not work. The secure parking door did not close."

"Our recent three-night stay at the The San Luis Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this property takes incredible pride in every detail. The grounds were absolutely immaculate — beautifully manicured grass, vibrant flowers, perfectly maintained shrubs, and gorgeous landscaping throughout the entire resort. Every corner felt luxurious, relaxing, and thoughtfully cared for. One of our favorite touches was Phydias, the macaw in the main lobby, who greeted and interacted with us daily and added such a unique and memorable charm to the experience. The pool area and lounging spaces were equally impressive — spotless, relaxing, and staffed by some of the most attentive and friendly employees we’ve encountered at any resort. The on-site dining at Blake’s Bistro was truly outstanding. We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout our stay because the food was simply that good. Every dish tasted genuinely five-star — far beyond typical resort dining. From appetizers to entrées, every meal was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I intentionally ordered something different each time, and every single dish exceeded expectations. My wife and kids loved everything as well, making this an incredibly family-friendly destination. The location is also perfect. The Seawall and beach access are just minutes away, along with plenty of nearby restaurants and attractions."

"Arrived to the room and our room door opened and smelled like somone had just finished smoking a cigarette. The fridge was rusted. The sink had 5 gallon bucket under it. Was not clean or sanitary in any way what so ever. Didn’t feel safe and just nasty. Don’t book here."

"Pre cruise stay. Had an unobstructed beach view. The room and view were very nice. Beautiful pool area and lounge with live music. We added the breakfast for an up charge and it was worth it. Very good and convenient. They offer a shuttle for $20 pp to cruise terminals which worked out perfectly. Would definitely stay again if in Galveston."

"Breakfast was Luke warm as was the coffee and there was a wait for the coffee to be refilled. Needs to be updated."
