"Modern room with great facilities "

"Room was clean. Furniture showing lots of wear and tear. Sheets torn. "

"Room was very cozy but you could tell it's slightly dated. Outlets were a bit finnicky: only 1 of 2 on the nightstand worked but they didn't fit most of our plugs anyway, the ones on the far wall were loose and didn't hold most of our plugs, only half of the ones on the desk worked even with the switch turned on. We made due with what we could. The staff was super sweet about it though. If y'all give them feedback during your stay, they're more than happy to accommodate so be vocal! I ended up speaking up too late and didn't really want to move rooms on our last night. I do wish they had a little downstairs market to spend my food and beverage credit. I could only use it during the restaurant hours which wasn't always the most convenient. At one point, I also asked for where the lobby bathroom was and was steered right into a private event (downstairs) so that was super awkward. We ended up using the one in the restaurant. My husband tried exploring the lobby to see if there was a downstairs market to spend our credit and staff seemed to stop him to ask if they could help so he didn't feel comfortable exploring much further because it made him feel like he wasn't allowed to go that direction. Maybe they were being overly helpful 😅 Love the convenience of the water dispensers though! This feature is so much more important than hotels realize. And the location is top notch. Super easy access to National Mall, Chinatown, etc. Overall, I would 100% be back."

"Staff was nice and welcoming"

"We found other people’s items under the bed that hadn’t been vacuumed. Q-tips stuffed all around the window edges. And clean sheets on the pullout couch. The refrigerator still had a half emptied Dr Pepper drink in it. The accommodations were for a king suite with a tub and we received a queen suite handicapped room with a walk-in shower that sprayed all over the floor. They did try to fit us into another room of a lesser quality and cost so we could get a tub. I told them no thank you it was a small smaller room. I should have made note when we walked into the room as we checked in that this was not the right room. Sad"

"So far, this is the best hotel we’ve stayed at during our trip this week. My kids love it here! The only downside is the expensive valet parking. We arrived on the day of the St. Patrick’s celebration, and the front desk was very helpful in advising us that it would be better not to explore DC that night with kids and he was right. Breakfast was amazing, and the room is perfect and very spacious."

"Not only was the property beautiful, clean and inviting, Salamander's customer service should be a global standard! They left no stone unturned in terms of exceeding my requests and needs. Let's get into the food, too. Dogon was AMAZING as usual, but the in-room dining, brunch experience was to live for as well. From check-in to check-out, top-tier luxury was served!!!"
