SO. This property is amazing, but it may not be worth the price tag, unless you get an incredible deal via Expedia or something.
The property is beautiful and easy to locate, and an easy walk from the Metro rail line that goes to/from the airport.
Check-in was a breeze and staff were all so kind and sweet (there is valet parking available if that’s your style). Rooms are very clean, beds are comfy, and the shower was hot- all good things, the sinks are small though. Housekeeping was great, came everyday, all was well.
BUT. Be aware, this is a large, and popular hotel. So there’s convention rooms, space for weddings, etc. which means late night partying and loud neighbors, which may not be best for families, or what some people are looking for. And because this is a large convention-center style hotel, it’s a tourist trap. Nothing is included, food and drinks were mediocre, and my Manhattan cocktail was $42. Yep. $42 and that’s not even with top-shelf liquor.
So if you stay there, my recommendation is to be prepared to leave the property/the area to get out of tourist-town and crazy tourist prices.
Other than that, great hotel, great experience, everyone was very kind.
