"Older hotel. I was told they were upgrading my room to a corner suite. The room I was given was on the corner of a busy street and the room has no sound proofing and old wooden blinds. Had a very hard time sleeping. The balcony had not been cleaned in a long time. Found dirt on the floor, microwave was very dirty, shower head had mold and parts plastic pieces falling out of it. They were kind enough to change the shower head after I complained but it was clear it had not been cleaned or inspected in some time. Staff speaks little English and they seem more concerned with guest running away from paying their bills than customer service. I was told to sign a bill for laundry while I was in the process of paying for it in cash. After a few days I decided to change hotels and move my stuff before checking out. The staff would not listen to me that I was not checking out and refused to let me leave. I understand the concern but I had every intention of coming back (which I did) not to mention I had already paid for the room. They spoke to my taxi driver in Thai so I would not understand what was happening. Very sad to write this because I have always like the grande centre point line of hotels but unfortunately this was a horrible experience for me."

"It's an e/xcellent hotel for those who want to shop in Terminal 21 and want to use Sky Train for transportation. Very central. It has very large rooms with the city view. Our room also had a micro. Good, varied breakfast. Continental, Chinese and Indian. Nice, large pool area. We'd love to come back."

"We stayed at the Okura Prestige Bangkok for two nights. This was a suprise reservation for my fiancé to celebrate her 30:th birthday and I’m very glad that I decided to stay here. We stayed in a prestige room on the top floor and oh my gosh, I have never had a room with a view like this one. It is simply amazing and must be seen in person. The pool is equally incredible and offers one of the best photo opportunities in all of Bangkok. The staff, service and food quality was simply wonderful. My only regret at the breakfast buffet was that I’m not a large enough person to eat as many eggs benedict as I otherwise would have. The staff in particular was very keen on highlighting and making sure that my fiancé’s birthday was memorable. And they did so in the most heartwarming way you could imagine. So, with that being said. Do I recommend the Okura Prestige? Yes. Will I return? Yes. Did I love it? Well, my fiancé bought me a souvenir from the hotel gift shop because I wouldn’t stop talking about it. So all in alll, to Okura, to the reader, to anyone who bothered: thank you. Now I know what it’s like waking up in heaven. "
