「If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab...

「The condo was infested with cockroaches, smelled badly of marijuana and was very dirty. When calling to get some sort of refund for having to leave early due to the disgusting conditions - it is impossible to speak to a manager. Have been waiting almost a month for a phone call back. Would not recommend this place.」

The first room was up a lot of stairs. There was a lot of dirt on ceiling fan blades. Room was nice looking. The AC unit was not cooling well at all so we asked if we cod stay in lower level room. 「The Inn is a historic site, centrally located in Downtown New Bern. It is well managed by Linda and her small staff. They serve an excellent breakfast until 9:30. The room was clean and well appointed. Linda is very helpful and knowledgeable about the downtown area.」

「Love the easy check in , contact free and straight forward . Love the room , very comfortable bed and pillows . Love the choice of pillows , clean and homy feel . The amenities are of good quality , like the variety of coffee and offer free of charge water machine outside the short hallway . Location are the best , major attraction and eateries and water front are all within the walking distance . We only stayed 2 nights 3 days but definitely consider come back to stay here again .」
