Located at the southern end of a series of barrier islands in the Outer Banks, NC. Recently refurbished an excellent example of early American engineering Ocracoke Lighthouse.

If you like a quite vacation spot, then Ocracoke Island is a cool place. It is only accessible via ferry; but once there, there are some good restaurants and some great places to watch the sunset on the harbor.
