「Adorable inn right on the water. Staff was super friendly! It’s an older building so there’s some reasonable “character” here and there but overall you can see it’s a well cared for. Its location is wonderful and we would definitely stay again!」

「I selected this hotel based on the photos and descriptions provided on the Expedia site. Once I checked in and gained admittance to the suite, I discovered it was shabby, broken furniture and dirty. 「Friendly staff willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Shout out to Ingrid for taking care of our room during our stay. Great breakfast! Love the 8pm cookies yum!! Con’s: Time to upgrade mattress in their rooms. Ours was horrible!! Pits in it, squeaks every time you roll over. Bathroom shower needs a makeover. Tub faucet had a constant drip.」

「The floors were very sandy. I just checked my credit card and I was charged $200.00 for the pet fee that I was quoted $100.00. Their dog park was full of holes and tall weeds. I asked when they were going to cut the tall weeds and 5 days later the weeds all around the hotel still hadn’t been cut. For a Marriott that place needed a lot of maintenance work inside and outside. The breakfast was okay and the clean up ladies were very nice.」

「Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!」

「Room was clean and the price was right. That being said, I have a few issues. The video service kiosk for check in, etc, staffed by someone overseas, was annoying and impersonal. The description of “1 acre of private beach” advertised was an absolute lie. It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? Pet fee was 59.99 per night plus tax (acceptable), but is not what the website advertised ($50) Coffee pot in...

「This hotel is severely outdated, nowhere near handicap, accessible rooms were dirty, covered in sand whenever we walked in the first day the first night the TV didn’t work in our bedroom come to find out there’s also no air conditioners in the bedrooms. We left early from our stay and the hotel refused to refund us The rooms were terribly hot at night and then the hotel told me that TV is complementary so they had no reason to fix our TV first night.
