「Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. 「A great one night stay on my way up to Scotland. Fabulous hospitality and made to feel very welcome. Had a peaceful night's sleep. Janice cooks a mean omelette for breakfast and enjoyed my packed lunch. Lovely estuary walking and lots of nature reserves in the area. Would stay again if in the area.」

「It’s a premier inn Self check in seemed ok a bit impersonal On arrival we were early and no power in hotel but all good we returned later It’s on a courtyard shared with sainsbury Penrith itself isn’t very inviting but the hotel is ok」

「The hotels location is perfect, right in the centre of town. Staff are brilliant, professional and friendly. Didn't use the pool as was too hot in there, but another time maybe. They were having problems with the boiler but well handled by reception. Oh I can't forget the Cheese Souffle!!! It was amazing!!」

「I really like the ethos of this B&B, it tries hard to be eco in its vegetarian background to it's use of shampoo etc in refillable containers. The owners were very helpful, they were happy to aid us in charging our car and if you have an electric car you will know what a pain it can be searching for a place to top up.」
