"Accommodation was clean and well kept. Diving centre next door was excellent "Leisure Divers" Malay cuisine for breakfast each day was repetitive and could be better eg more fruit etc and add some western. Location was not so good in that the "beach" was mostly mud flat throughout the day with no sandy bottom and so not really suitable for casual swimming. Staff were good and friendly."

"I had a great stay here. Initially, I was a bit hesitant to book this place due to previous reviews. But honestly, for a budget hotel it was great, and I would book again. The location was perfect, on the quieter side of the beach, but easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars on the other side of the beach. "Arrived well before official checkin time. Room was ready. Although they tried to upsell their newer renovated rooms which were empty. They were nice but it wasn’t a free upgrade. Their initial remark was my booked room requires stairs climbing which I did not find an issue to begin with. The basic room was pretty much the same as the one I stayed in many years ago. Clean but ancient. There were kettle and fridge. Wifi never seemed to work but I never inquired further as I have my mobile data....

"Heerlijk dichtbij het strand, centrale locatie op het eiland. Prachtige snorkel plek 1 minuut van de kamer vandaan. De kamer zelf was teleurstellend. Kamer was erg vochtig, wat waarschijnlijk komt door de lekkage. De hotelmedewerker was erg vriendelijk!"

"Need a night stay before heading to redang. Picked this hotel cause most of others are fully booked. Pro - Staff are friendly and helpful. - Clean. Con - Small and old. - No direct access to beach. - No sound proof even can hear snoring from next door. Noise from next door are unbearable because it's a family with a few kids."

"True island experience in a little cabin. A short walk from the main beach but bring a torch for getting home at night! Cute, rickety little private jetty out front for the best views, sun bathing, snorkeling and breakfast spot. Toilets are 10meters away in the forest and can be a bit creepy at night with insects. The owner was fantastic and organised our transfers to the airport after aswell as snorkel rental. "

"This property is located in a beautiful spot especially since the lodges are on a hill with amazing views. But the upkeep of the lodges is poor. Simple things such as the bathroom sink with black mould & the tiles oozing fugul are not necessary. Maybe cause we visited mid October when everything started to close down? The staff are accommodating but don’t give many choices due to their not being any when getting around the island. If your on this side & have not prearranged bout trips your stuck on 1 beach with little options. Also getting a scooter is a waste of time as there is only the road leading to the jeti no other roads unless you trek through the woodland which takes nearly 2 hours. There is wild life in the jungle so at your own risk unless you hire a guide. Also make sure you use bug repellent & bug relief because you will be eaten alive. No real English breakfast except at the hotel if they have it. Again it was end of season. "
