"Amazing service, room was very big and clean"

"The New Otani let itself down badly at breakfast. A “continental breakfast” consisted of an orange juice, coffee and two small, tasteless croissants and cost 4000 yen. In other hotels, a continental breakfast means all of the buffet except hot food. I complained to the garden lounge manager, who basically said “Sorry, that’s what we charge” then to the hotel duty manager who offered an apology, but did nothing concrete. The New Otani is otherwise a great hotel, but unless you are on a breakfast-included package, eat somewhere else."

"The AC has only 3 settings and it was so hot even with the coolest setting. The tub is so high it’s difficult to get into. The rooms are so small we could not open our luggage. They also do not clean rooms or change sheets unless you stay over 3 days. The walls are very thin and you can hear what’s going on in other rooms and outside. "

"Elevators are terrible. Can be waiting up to 15 minutes for availability. They warn you about checkout time but it’s consistent throughout the day. The rooms are so tiny you can’t have bags open while also have space to move around. Bathrooms are next to impossible they are so tiny and kind of feel like a bathroom you’d see on a boat. Number of guests they’re squeezing in is likely the issue with the elevator, so many rooms with so few elevators. Had included breakfast but it was so jammed with people we only were able to use it once. The staff were incredibly helpful and the rooms are clean."

"The hotel is located close to tourist spots like ; “ Memory lane “ , “ the Godzilla head at the Hotel Gracery at Shijuku” and “ Gold-Gai “ etc. Also close to restaurants, seven eleven, family mart, a McDonald . Clean room but no cabinets for clothes. "

"I stay at this hotel about every 2 years since about 10 years ago but I would sadly say that the quality of this hotel is getting worse. I don’t know when they changed their room cleaning policy but the notice said room cleaning is only provided every 7 days which is much fewer than other hotels. They only change towels and collect garbage upon request. I noticed that the sealing in my room where the air from air conditioning hits was covered with dust and I ended up wiping off since I couldn’t handle it. I hope they will improve their room cleaning policy and cleanness."
